FrightFest is the UK's largest genre film festival by any measure, with more events, films, fans and media coverage than any other similar UK event.

Submissions for our 2021 events are now open.  We are looking for a broad range of shorts and feature films. Each year we showcase aound 100 features (films over 65 mins) and a similar number of short films (please keep them short, ideally under 15 mins) at our festivals and events. As the title for our event suggests the priority is horror, however, we also feature science fiction and fantasy films, and we are not opposed to including a good thriller or two.   If you're unsure about submitting your film, have a look at our Wikipedia page.  HERE

You will find listed every FrightFest film showcased since the festival's inception in 2000. This will give you a good idea on what we are looking for and the range of films that we have presented over the years.  Our full submission guidlines plus our terms and conditions can be found on our FilmFreeway pages.  If you are still unsure, feel free to get in touch using the details on our contact us page. We are always happy to hear from filmmakers. Deadlines for features films, over 65 minutes, is June 1 and short films July 1, 2021.

FRIGHTFEST accepts entries through FilmFreeway, the world's Number one way to submit to film festivals.
