Well, the players that I know of that can be multi-regioned are : Curtis (cack quality, cheap from Currys) - can load the O/S with a different region Sharp BH20 (dunno if it's still available) - can load the O/S with a different region Sony s350/360, etc (tend to be over the £300 mark) - can't be ou...

It's a shame that the fourth plinth thing in Trafalgar Square is over by then.

Otherwise it could have been an interesting diversion on the way to the 24hr Tesco Metro to see who was appearring each time. :)

I must admit that I'm finding the discussions about the film extremely interesting. I've posted before that my opinion is not good. However, it seems an awful lot of people are focusing on the "He was joking when he said new genre of horror and people only disliked it because of that". Par...

Enjoyed seeing this on the big screen, excepting the synchronisation issues. One thing I didn't realise until I read wikipedia (that ever reliable source :? ) was : Remake In June, 2009, it was announced that Dimension Films was working with producers Sean and Bryan Furst on a remake of the film.[4]...

Really rate this. Far better than the other Australian film that was too ITV drama-esque. I arrived about 10 minutes late and stopped to ask the guy next to the door if it was OK to go in. Alan stopped and asked if everything was OK and I made a comment about me being late and wondering if I should ...

I must admit that I really enjoyed this. Delivered as a sequel for me. The thing that kept going through my mind though was "Have they just taken bullet-points of how Aliens follwed Alien to write this plot ?". Mother missing dead daughter, returning to face something mother doesn't want t...

Yeah, sorry, trotting out the sites didn't really address your point. ;) Meant to highlight the land of whimsy one as he really seems to "get" a lot of the image manipulation stuff on digital transfers, so I respect the opinions shown. DVDBeaver has sometimes been a bit misguided. :) Somet...

If this was only half as clever or enjoyable as Leslie Vernon then fair play, but it got nowhere near being the alleged great commentary on this as it thought it was. The "let's stay in the city as only bad things happen in the woods" monologue, "the cell phones don't work" nod ...

DVDCompare is good for comparing different regions' features, but not good to tell you about the quality of the discs. www.dvd-basen.dk used to be great for finding reviews when you type a film title in, I've not used it for a while. www.dvdbeaver.com (careful now ;) ) has some great comparisons bet...

I really liked this. Well worth including and I made sure that I went up to the director to tell him that I thought it was the best straight horror in the festival so far. I can appreciate why people didn't engage with it, but thought it was good concept and was well implemented, particularly the us...

Really enjoyed this. Was very surprised by the switch in styles, but some of it was extremely effective.

A shame my brain wasn't working properly by the 2:30 finish. :)

Did not like ths at all. All the main characters were so unappealing that it came across as an extreme episode of Jeremy Kyle. I was going to comment during the Q&A that it was good that the actor guy played him as a pyscho all the way through and there was no character development, but it occur...

Really enjoyed this. A few great "fromage"s (as Landis would put it) and genre conventions gleefully used. That sequel idea does sound funny, and the Q&A was in general good, with the highlight being the French lady's question. :) Since it definitely looked as though it was the blu-ray...

I'm genuinely sorry to say that I thoght this was the most cliched, contrived film by far. "A new type of horror" ? Seriously ? That is either one of the most deluded or arrogant statements I've ever heard. In all fairness I've tried tio think what I liked and what i didn't about it. Liked...
