Brexit vs Halloween
This subject must surely suit the Evil Events section just perfectly One of my favourite journalists, Jack Blanchard of Politico.co.uk writes a daily summary of the political news, called the London Playbook Here he shows his love of the horror genre, with the excuse being the impending Brexit Hallo...

Re: The Beast from the East
Yesterday I bought a train ticket for this morning, just in case the Carlisle to Glasgow line opened again
Sadly it is going to be closed all day
That's me out of options
I hope those of you who are able to attend have a great time

Doris & Transport
Hope everyone is enjoying the festival, but just wondering what local conditions are like, both in the city and at the airport.
Take care and have fun!

http://gingernutsofhorror.com/13/post/2015/03/frightfest-glasgow-2015-a-review-by-stewart-horn.html Here's my take. I should probably have posted it earlier but I forgot. Agreed with 90% of what you said, a bit harsh on The Woods Movie though. I would have preferred that the two paedophilia movies ...

Re: FrightFest Glasgow 2015
Great thumbnail reviews Alex, agreed with almost all of what you said. However, Missing the stunning restoration of the Mario Bava pic in favour of It Follows seems a little perverse. I know nothing about Mario Bava, but I'm glad I saw it at FF, and saw It Follows at Cineworld for free (Unlimited) t...

Re: 2014 Main Screen Film List
The one thing I definitely won't miss from Empire Screen 1 was the dreadful Dolby 3D, thankfully Vue uses RealD 3D which in my opinion is far superior.

Agreed.Eddie Krueger wrote: The blame is with Vue, no one should be having a go at the FF boys.
You (FF) were relying on the assurances you were given, sadly they weren't worth anything at all.

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014
I think I was very lucky to get a pass, despite spending 90 mins on the site, and 30 mins on the phone. It was never straightforward getting through the Empire booking system, but this was in a different league altogether. The info given out over the phone seems to have been incomplete, contradictor...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014
There is no incentive for Vue to anticipate the web or call volume. It is not so great that it will affect their other sales, it's only day and festival passes that are halted. The Festival passes will eventually all sell out, that is a given, it is highly unlikely that they will lose FF any revenue...
