Re: Films for Frightfest August 2013

You're Next - I posted a while back that it had a 23/08 UK release date so would miss FF. However the release date has since changed to 30/08. Is this to tie in with FF?! Killers - not sure anyone has mentioned this. The new film from Timo Tjahjanto, who did Macabre and a section of V/H/S/ 2. It is ...

Re: Films for Frightfest August 2013

Don't know if there's any truth in this. The link was posted by a Melanie Griffith fan account on Twitter. I'd be very surprised since this film had it's premiere at Raindance last year, to not that glowing reviews. There has been plenty of crap on over the years, including films which the FF guys ...

Re: Films for Frightfest August 2013

Based on the malfunctioning banner on the main website (no picture showing, just the file name of the picture) will The Conjuring be one of the films? Scrap that: just noticed that it's included on the ticket sails e-mail, which won't work on my work computer. And as it's out on 03/08 presumably it'...

Re: Films for Frightfest August 2013

Certainly lasy year, and probably prior to that, there were some 'London' premiers, with certain films already having been shown in Glasgow/at other festivals or as previews. IIRC Trollhunter was one of those that had been show a few weeks previously at another London cinema (I'm sure at least one f...

Re: Films for Frightfest August 2013

You're Next is apparently out on 23/08 so that won't be on.

The other films all appesr to be out after the August bank holiday or have no planned release date.

Belushian Bore Fest

Tulpa

After

Under the Bed

Night Breed - The Cabal Cut (haven't seen the original for ages, but the VHS quality footage didn't seem to add much and I hate cheesey nightclub footage).

Re: Halloween All Nighter

During the sleepy queue one of the FF boys let slip that The Tall Man should be showing at Halloween, they'd wanted it for August but for some reason it had to be pushed back. He then remembered himself and wouldn't divulge anymore details! Dracula 3D better not be on, directors should know when to ...

Re: Purchasing Tickets

Its sounds like they very small, but vocal, minority on here who were unable to get tickets were on the whole in fact thwarted by their own banks, as apposed to anything that the FF boys had control over. Therefore maybe people should contact their banks and complain, rather than doing it on here.

Re: Films for FrightFest The 13th 2012

Alan said that a number of the filmns they were after for August were for some reason or another not available, but had been booked for Halloween. And that the Halloween line-up was therefore looking very strong.

Re: Sleepy Queue

If people are worried about having to turn up the night before I'd suggest not to worry. I've turned up previously between 9:00am to 11:00am and not had an issue. Arriving the night before is basically the FF equivilant of seeing who piss the highest up a wall.

Re: Films for FrightFest The 13th 2012

So the newsletter is out. I've had my eye on The Seasoning House for a while now, so I'm excited about that. But what of the hints... here's my guesses: "There’s the anthology you want to see" Could be V/H/S or ABCs of Death, but I think the latter is the one we really want. I have a conc...

Re: Films for FrightFest The 13th 2012

Was it the FF Twitter feed which featured photos of freebies that the boys had picked up in Cannes. Occured to me that some of these could very well have been clues. IIRC there was something to do with Dracula 3D and some juggling balls promoting Stitches, a clown horror featuring Ross Noble. Now, F...

Re: London 2012 Accommodation

Have booked High Holborn again - occured to me that the £16 more per night is very little considering what you'd have to pay at most hotels in London. Considered Northumberland House, but am not that bothered about having an en suite to pay over £300.

Re: Films for FrightFest The 13th 2012

I'm being lazy and (a) not checking to see if it's already been mentioned and (b) not checking when it's actually released, but presumably Cockneys Versus Gansgters would be a shoe-on after last year's preview.

I am also assuming that any new film by FF regular directors will probably be show.
