It started out well, but the humour factor kicked in and took the 'controversy' away from it. The end, i had a feeling it was coming, but i didn't think it would happen?

I was expecting the words:

"Rickie startled the Witch!"

to come up at the end of the film lol

I really liked this film. It was brilliantly shot- loved the lazy feel of the external scenes in contast to the tense, dark internal shots. Thought the script was well-written, def one for the boys though!

I liked it a lot.

Just the right amount of gore and humour. Perfect opener for the fest, best way to weed out the squeamish.

It's the second time of watching so it loses some of the initial shock on it's second viewing, once you know what's coming.

Good fun, good opening film and from what I overheard one of the most talked about as well.

If it's aim was dividing people and to get people talking about it then it succeeded.

When I say it lost some of it's shock, it's like watching Mum & Dad again, what initially made you cringe or think I can't believe I have just seen that is lost on the second viewing.

But I still enjoyed it and part of the fun for me was watching/listening to peoples reactions.

This was one of my faves of the glasgow weekend, which - sorry (gets ready for abuse) wasn't horrific enough.
Thanks for the ride, sir.

I really enjoyed it, really good characters and the mix of humour and horror worked well.

For some reason Rickie's best friend reminded me of 'The Pin' in Brick...but perhaps that's just me...

Thought this was a really sick, but very funny black comedy.

Really loathsome characters, too offensive to take seriously, ala Teeth.

The themetune is a dead copy of one of the pieces of music in Donnie Darko.

A great start to the festival,as it got a reaction out of everyone.

This is one I am still not sure to what to make of it.

Starts off quite grim with a disturbing subject matter and then lessens the impact with the humour. It was rather amusing in parts but other times a bit unsettling with what was going on to the girl or the shell of the girl.

This film was certainly a talking point over the weekend.

I did enjoy this although I felt completely grossed out by the whole idea and then the story became easy to predict mid way through. A good opener though!

Was this the one directed by Trent Haaga?
I thought it was amazing at LIFF if it was...
