DEADWALKERS

Post by Zombiedog »

Did anyone see this short flick, screened right before INFESTATION? I thought it was sharp. Had a great head pop!

This makes it a good film? Don't think so.

The film relied solely on the crossover of two beloved genres. That's not enough for 2009. Probably it wouldn't have been enough in 1969, though.

Pointless, uninspired waste of money... I think that pretty much sums it up.

For jonbly, this was the best of the three shorts we've had. Yes it was flawed (with the effects being quite variable), but at least there was some plot and a bit of character.

Thought it was slow going with some good effects. Liked the exploding head.

I really enjoyed this one, thought it was the best short. It seemed to be done for the least money of the shorts and I actually enjoyed it more than about 4 of the features.

Spoke to the director randomly at breakfast at High Holborn, really nice guy and I for one hope he manages to get the funding to make a feature next(possibly using the same main character).

Not a fan of this - looked great but other than that, no substance and forced style made me wish I was actually watching a real western.

Did anyone else at FrightFest get interviewed by the director for his next project? I think he called it Sacred Cinema...

Yep I was a little drunk though. So don't know if I'll get into the final cut. Enjoyed this short and hung out with the director a lot over the weekend. When you hear how much work he has had to put in writing, directing, special effects shots and promotion. All of this on top of a full time job. Well you really appreciate what these guys go through to put their work out there.
