I think people will take from this whatever they bring to it.
It's a good, solid zombie film that I think could have benefitted from ending earlier. I didn't want to know how he got bitten, keep it a mystery and let the audience fill in the blanks.

Question I've been most asked:
"Did it look like it cost £45?"
I don't quite know how to answer this. Does a bottle of water look like it cost £1.95? depends where you get it from.
The cinematography doesn't let you see any lack of production value which only adds to the atmosphere. You can't make anything out and again, your imagination gets going.

I was in the front row. Sadly I was far too close to the screen to be able to see it properly. And by the end my neck was killing me from looking upwards for so long (had been sitting in the same spot beforehand for I Think We're Alone Now too) which added to the feeling of "I wish this had ended 20 mins ago."

I need to see it again. From further back so my eyes can focus properly.

I think the sooner people forget the £45 nonensical rumour, the better - what a great way to mask the flaws of a film though... I saw 20 minutes of a screener and couldn't bear to watch it anymore - I didn't speak to many who actually went to see it, would be interesting to hear what other people thought of the film...

I liked Colin a lot, though you can't expect a no budget film to work wonders. The film is a little gem when focused on Colin. The director had a good sense for telling stories using symbols to overcome production limitations (the water glasses in the beginning create an *end of days* feeling and symbolizes Colin's dumbing).
Sadly, they tried two times to imitate the mainstream zombie movie (the house siege and the killing squad). These scenes are too long and they don't help the film development. But that are the only parts where you feel the amateurish origin.
I hope the director has more projects in the pipeline.
