That opening caption, "The Balkans, 1996" put me in the wrong mood for this one.

I thought OK, that means horrible people doing horrible things, from the off... and that's what we got. For me, it lessened the film's impact and I was distinctly underwhelmed.

In retrospect, it probably deserved a bit more of my attention and I'd like to see it again sometime.

I was indeed expecting Neeson to burst in shoting something about "particular set of skills".

Maybe one skill Pertwee should master is the art of holding a microphone closer to his mouth.

Very grim and bleak, but nicely done and more exciting in its second half than the first (which in places I felt very uncomfortable with).

Excellent opener, despite the second half getting dumb and derivative.
