That opening caption, "The Balkans, 1996" put me in the wrong mood for this one.
I thought OK, that means horrible people doing horrible things, from the off... and that's what we got. For me, it lessened the film's impact and I was distinctly underwhelmed.
In retrospect, it probably deserved a bit more of my attention and I'd like to see it again sometime.

Very grim and bleak, but nicely done and more exciting in its second half than the first (which in places I felt very uncomfortable with).
