This film seems to have polarised the audience somewhat!

** Spoilers **

It will be interesting to see how this fares - some may find this too childish, but the horror elements are too strong for kids. I thought there were some well staged, suspenseful sequences and gory moments, but I wasn't overly convinced by the trip to the demon world and the rescue seemed a bit too easy and quick. I quite enjoyed the tale overall though. 7 / 10

One of only 2 films I saw this year which I really loathed. Found it to be not in the least bit engaging and unable to obey its own internal logic. Rubbish really. 3 / 10

Same here (although you know that already Phil, as I was sat next to you at the time!). What annoyed me the most about it was the way this thing had been waiting under the bed all this time to get Neal on his return, suggesting it's point of entry into our world is from under that bed. But then they go and throw in some excuse about flaky skin coming off onto pillows/bedsheets at night (or some such bollocks) allowing the thing to turn up in the house next door. And by the end of the movie its popping up all over the place like a mad womans knitting. My point being, if it could do that all along then why didn't it just go after Neal while he was staying with his aunt in Florida, instead of hanging around for a couple of years threatening Paulie (like it was twiddling its thumbs just passing the time until Neal's return)? Didn't add up. I'm all for nonsensical horror films, even ones aimed at a yonger audience, but once a film goes and lays down a supposed set of rules, no matter how silly, then it ought to stick by them otherwise the whole exercise becomes a bit pointless. So yes, 3/10 here as well.

Was expecting more from this film. Some jumps but no and thought it ended abruptly.

Originally I thought this was better than The Angrestion Scale; but then I remembered Ray Wise. 1 out of 5 for me.

It's not terrible but it is like a monster movie for kids really.

It was okay. Not one of my favourites but decent enough.
