Detention Of The Dead Review

Post by Alex J »

The weakest film of day 1, but not a disaster, despite playing a bit like a poor man's "Dance of the Dead". It didn't help that it started with the usual bunch of stereotypical characters and a lot of huumour that fell flat, but it seemed to improve as it progressed, subverting some of the stereotypes and genre tropes, exploring the characters a bit more and referencing other films / TV shows. It also featured one of my favourite characters of the fest in Willow. 7 / 10
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.
