The Banana Splits Movie
Re: The Banana Splits Movie
Hands down the best premise of the decade.
Shame the filmmakers seem to be just happy with that and put very little effort in realising the potential.
But it still works, and that's because it's not just any puppet, it's THEM.

Re: The Banana Splits Movie
As stated, this could have been so much more.
Go hog wild. Driving a hammer into someone's back could have gone on into Fleegle ripping out the spine as the body falls to the floor, more gore and a nice Predator note. But no, just a bit of prosthetics and a dummy fall.
Some nice touches, the kids were not irritating and actually rather endearing, I liked the last 10 minutes the best as they finally decided to explore a bit, pity about the previous 70.
Having said that, it was a good length, didn't outstay its welcome and I got a t-shirt, so given some of the films this ranks quite highly.
