Just come out of this. Bloody hell this was better than expected. Bit of a slow start but very uneasy atmosphere throughout, very creepy and vague but this made it all the better. I think this and Antichrist have created a bit of a sub-genre of "couple getting away from it all alone together in a cabin in the woods". There were a lot of unanswered questions at the end, but the less said the better - this was a film that accomplished the not-so-easy task of leaving a lot to the viewer's imagination. I thought the leads were great, but I can't get used to Rose Leslie in an American accent after Game of Thrones.
Great ending, very abrupt and unforgiving. Very highly reccomended.
8/10
Honeymoon
Re: Honeymoon
An unsettling tale that riffs on established tropes whilst maintaining a beguiling air of mystery.
7.5 / 10
***Spoiler***
My only quibble is the lack of explanation behind it all, but the parasitical body horror element is reminiscent of early Cronenberg.

No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.
