Bad Biology
Bad Biology
OMFG!!!
What the hell was that? Hennenlotter's return did not disappoint and was just the most awesomely f***ed up film. All over the place, but hilarious, profane and packed to the gills with invention and madness.
Ordinary standards of judgement do not apply, a great end to a (mostly) terrific Friday.

Funny and appalling, as advertised. It did feel a bit padded, though (especially in the penis walkabout sequence)... perhaps it needed one more plot point to round it out.
jonbly was left wondering, though, whether this would have been better off as a porn movie with a horror theme, rather than a horror movie with a porn theme.
It's also sad to know that we won't be seeing "The Adventures of Penisbaby" any time soon...

Just what I hoped for.
Surprisingly not the grossest film of the weekend (so far) and whoever thought of references to John Waters is spot on the mark.
Only quibble, during the 45 minute orgasm, I thought they missed a golden opportunity to have the female lead say "I'll have what she's having".

i didnt enjoy this it was quite poor and nothing like his early work, its seemed a mixture of Frank's ideas mixed with Sex & the City compromised with a rap score, which i love.
But it just doesnt work for me,a few chuckles were there the actors were lovely,im glad Frank came over, maybe a rewatch might help or not.

"Time To Nut Up Or Shut Up"
Did enjoy this a great deal, served up everything a midnite movie should do and then some.
Thought the stop-motion Ray Harryhausen moment was nice, wonder what he thinks!
Also enjoyed the Q&A with Frank and the 2 stars. He seems a very genuine, approachable guy. Bring Mr Henenlotter back to Frightfest and I think "A conversation with...." style of talk would be great fun and interesting as he must have many stories to tell

live fast, die young and leave a good looking corpse
It's not often that one finds themselves meeting a personal hero, someone whose work you have admired for many years, & better yet have the opportunity to speak to them, no matter how briefly.
The fondest memory I will take away from Frightfest 2008 was that I had the chance to ask the legendary Frank Henenlotter one question.
And that question contained the words 'monster dick'.
Dreams can come true. I'm living proof.

Well, I speak as one who was never a massive Henenlotter fan - I have seen all his previous ones (including Frankenhooker and Basket Case 2 in 35mm projections, which I also bought on VHS) but I've never been that bothered about seeing them again. So maybe it's me, but I just didn't really enjoy Bad Biology as much as everyone else seems to. It's energetic, it has no interest in sticking to a studio line, it's a "what the hell!" personal project unencumbered by thoughts of "we couldn't possibly do that". Which is great but, as I said, maybe it's me.
