Sennentuntschi

Post by jonbly »

8/10 - jonbly spent too much of this one trying to work out when it was set - which seems to have been part of the idea, but jonbly found that distracting - other than that, it was really good. Would have preferred a different ending, though.

Really loved it. Didn't even realise how long it was as I was enjoying it so much. Fabulous to see the Swiss putting their mark on the horror mark :)
BTW anyone got a spare poster for this?! So wanted to grab the one from the foyer after the last film but obviously someone else had the idea before me ;)

I just bought a poster off that ebay.

Lovely film, and a great dark fable.

A nice dark fairy tale and very well acted by all.

Credit too to the director in the Q&A for getting in a Fritzl reference.

Nice story, although I must confess to getting a bit confused at times - the guy that was on the run for murder seemed to be helping her one moment and locking her up the next...?

A surpsie hit for me, some excellent editing in this movie with an interesting mixed premise to confuse the audience. Excellent movie.

Pleasently surprised by this one. Could need a little faster pacing by taking off 5-10minutes but the twists and style and acting was all nice and well received. One question I have:

Pretty good but I think it suffered a bit being shown in the graveyard slot on Monday afternoon when tiredness kicks in

Another highlight for me.

Really enjoyed this film. A twisty turny film. Unusal story. Did get a bit confused at the end and I think due to tiredness, not the fault of the film.

This one I do want to see again. When I am alert and concentrate more.

*** Spoilers***

Interesting curio from Switzerland which will delight some, but may be too different to conventional horrors for others. I liked that instead of being a straight monster movie it played around with expectations as the real villains were to be found elsewhere. Original, excellent scenery, the delightful Mesquida, subversive and an intriguing story based on legend. 8 / 10
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

LOVED IT!! The issues with the time line annoyed me though. You could pick it up early on but there were moments that were a little too confuddling.. :)

Loved this. But no-ones mentioned the soundtrack... it really worked for me. Dare is say that there were some giallo ellements to this film?
