Sunday's Best Film?
Disco to be voted for separately...

Re: Sunday's Best Film?
Went for In Fear, even though it was the best of an extremely poor selection that day.

But Chained was actually pretty good!zappa fan wrote:Sure is Mr Street; this years Chained.
Seriously, I am amazed about Dark Tourist. I thought it was utter toss.

Re: Sunday's Best Film?
Its nail in the coffin for me was Cudlitz in the Q&A. I know a lot of people thought he was interesting and expanded on the character's background, but I thought he was just so boring to listen to. If he said 'it's all there in the script' once, he said it a hundred times. Yes, but we haven't read the script! It's great for him that he's so passionate about the film, but oddly I thought he spoke quite flatly about the role and I really lost patience. However, I was trapped in the middle of our row inbetween friends who were listening to him, so I sat there rather than getting up (more fool me).streetrw wrote:But Chained was actually pretty good!zappa fan wrote:Sure is Mr Street; this years Chained.

I thought it wasn't anything that hadn't been done before, and actually since being away from the festival the more I've thought about it, the more it's annoyed me as a movie, though I can't quite put my finger on why.
To answer the thread, though, I'm going to go with In Fear as the best of a poor Sunday showing. I enjoyed the Q&A for that one, too
