Thanks! A fairly limited list of films, as you say. The first couple of those, I can't remember if I saw tham at FF or elsewhere. Pretty sure I saw Donnie Darko at the London Film Festival, but my memory is hazy.

It would've been interesting to look at more of the films and the changes over the years - the rise and fall of torture porn and J-(and K-) horror, trends like home invasion films, "I can't get a cellphone signal!".

Hopefully I'll get a chance to see this on DVD or something, eventually.

I missed all that - saw Remnants in Discovery instead. In the 2012 programme, the first word in the Tulpla blurb was 'Giallo', which explains my decision-making...

There was also some outrage from quite prominent people in genre on social media about there being too much rape / senseless sexual violence against women. I imagine that didn't help if tensions were already running high

Headline grabber would have been... the Chilean exploitation pile of shit: Hidden In The Woods

Also that year on the main screen you also
Seasoning House
Chained

And on the discovery screens there was the Irish flick - The Inside

I think the gist of it was, the festival was getting bigger and bigger, and their roles badly organised, to the point they were all doing the same jobs while some things were not getting done at all - like a film print not being ordered (quite important for a film festival! Ian holds his hands up at that one.)

It then degenerates to the point one organiser takes another outside and shouts at him until he loses his voice (I'll let you see the doc to see who they were!)but the one doing the shouting now "can't even remember what it was about"

They all seemed ready to call it quits by the end of that year :o
