“Bloody brilliant” - The Sun

FrightFest volunteers work closely with the festival directors and staff, supporting the festival audience, the filmmakers, our guests and representatives from both the press and film industry. They are an incredibly important and highly valued part of the festival, and we could not manage the event without the dedicated and hard-working team operating behind the scenes.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic ‘crew’ who can work with us over the five days, who are confident, calm under pressure, and not fazed by working a busy schedule in a crowded festival environment.

Volunteers' roles are varied and include (but are not limited to) box office and tickets, information desk, cinema ushers, media wall and green room, stock and merchandise. Dates for 2024 are 22nd to 26th of August.

Volunteer benefits include tickets for FrightFest films (outside of your shift), FrightFest T-shirts, and Tickets to the closing night party.
